Burlap and Silk
Burlap and silk played together
Burlap loped and jumped and skittered,
But through their gift of time together,
On a field of 'muslim' white,
Their differences never, never asked
To mix and blend in line.
Silk merely fluttered by;
Burlap bounced and jogged and frittered,
Silk kept a quiet eye.
Their lives grew better, still,
While Burlap and silk played forever,
Their love for each other was filled.
